Waldorf Teacher Trainings


  Courses


Consciousness Studies is Dennis Klocek's in-depth, 7 month course at Rudolf Steiner College, Fair Oaks, CA. The course "endeavors to provide practical insight, stemming from anthroposophy, concerning the ways in which individuals can form meaningful relationships to the world that maintain a deep respect for the body, the soul, and the spirit."


  The Orientation Year at Emerson College in south east England is a ‘gap year’ course for young people from 18 to 24 interested in anthroposophy, issues of our time, arts and crafts, drama and volunteer work. Students come from around the world from September to June to work on questions of identity, community and taking initiative. The course includes a week trip to Chartres cathedral and Paris as well as a trip in the third Term and excursions to London.


The Nature Institute is offering a Goethean Science Course from April 2- June 16, 2006 in Ghent, NY. The program is a full-time, eleven-week training. "Goethe's approach to science presents us with the challenge and the opportunity to move beyond the static, object-like abstractions of contemporary thought to a fluid, transformative way of thinking....."


Started with the inspiration of Emerson College in mind, Foyer Michael offers a varied and interesting foundation year in anthroposophy, the arts and more which takes place on a biodynamic farm in the center of France.


In addition to many other courses, Anthroposophical Studies in English is offered at the Goetheanum in Switzerland. The course is carried by Virginia Sease and is one year long.


  Trainings


The Pfeiffer Center offers a one year, part-time course in Biodynamics. The Center is dedicated to education, research and outreach in farming, gardening and beekeeping. An important goal is to raise awareness of biodynamics as the most holistic approach to caring for the land.


Artemis School of Speech and Drama offers a four year Diploma Course in in the Speech Arts of Storytelling, Poetry Recitation, and Acting. The School is located in East Grinstead, England


  Shakespeare Alive! is a year long drama training in the Hudson Valley, NY. Their work is based on Michael Chekhov and Rudolf Steiner. They also run a summer intensive for young people.




  Colleges


The Barfield School of Sunbridge College offers a Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies accredited by the state of New York. The program integrates academic research, meditative inquiry and artistic exploration. It is intended for those who seek to join their intellectual and professional pursuits with their spiritual aspirations.


Rudolf Steiner College offers a broad range of trainings in Waldorf Education, Eurythmy, Painting, Biodynamics and more. The College is located in Fair Oaks, Northern California.


Sunbridge College offers Masters and Certificate programs in Waldorf education and related fields inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner. The College is well-established, having been founded in 1967, and is located on the beautiful campus of the Threefold Community in Spring Valley, NY, 30 miles north of Manhattan.


Emerson College is an international center for adult eduation in Forest Row, England. Students from all over the world go to attend courses and trainings in Waldorf Education, Biodynamics, Visual Arts, Storytelling, Creative Writing, Puppetry, the Orientation Programme for 18-24 year olds and much more.


Taruna College offers trainings in Waldorf Education, Anthroposophical Nursing, The Art of Health, Biodynamics and more. It's home is Hastings, on the beautiful North Island of New Zealand.
